I believe it's important to be involved in and contribute to my community. I am currently the Program Director for the Greater Albany Rotary Club, a member of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Board of Directors for Safehaven Humane Society, and the Albany Partnership for Housing and Community Development.  I am also a volunteer for the Linn County Sheriff's Office and recently received the Volunteer of the Year in Special Services for 2007; and in 2008, the Partner in Service Award from the Oregon Emergency Management Association.
